Installing Easy Shingle® is simple and does not require
special skills.
A little dexterity is enough to let you install
Easy Shingles® by following the illustrations and instructions
below.

Always hammer nails in straight – The nail
heads should not penetrate the shingle surface.
If the roof slopes more than 60° use glue as well for extra
security.
You need roughly 50 nails/m². A cartridge of Easy
Shingle® Stick is sufficient for roughly 6m².

Clean roof surface and nail down IKO Easy Shingle® underlay. |

To install the starting strip cut the tabs down
near the end of the shingle surface indentation and shorten
the first tab by half of its length. |

Always install shingles in overlapping rows -
place the first row at lower roof edge. For extra protection
against wind and rain glue shingles to roof edges. |

Always use rectangular
shingles for the ridge. The top rows on both sides of the roof’s
ridge must be adequately overlapping. |
